Appalachian Odyssey Book Tour to Visit Falmouth Memorial Library

Author Jeff Ryan will appear at the Falmouth Memorial Library on June 30 to discuss his new book, Appalachian Odyssey: A 28-year hike on America’s trail, just released by Down East Books.

“I am excited to be appearing at the library where I spent so much time as a child”, says Ryan. “I remember sitting on the floor listening to children’s story hour. Now I can be the one sharing my own story, which I’m thrilled to do.”

Ryan’s story chronicles his nearly 30 year hike on the Appalachian Trail with an acquaintance that was to become a lifelong friend. It is a story of perseverance, humor and history that has been hailed by the former Executive Editor of National Geographic as “destined to be a classic of nature and travel writing”.

The appearance will be on June 30 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Falmouth Memorial Library, 5 Lunt Road in Falmouth, Maine. Appalachian Odyssey will be available for sale and the author would be thrilled to sign copies.

Soon after his Falmouth appearance, Jeff will be leaving for a several month tour that includes stops at the Smithsonian Institution and 34 L.L. Bean stores.

His schedule of events and blogs from the road will be featured on his website
